The Claverham Beer Festival runs from the evening of Friday 2 July 2010 through to late afternoon Sunday 4 July 2010. Friday evening opens with a preview session for our sponsors, and gates will open for ticket holders at 1930. With your ticket you are provided with a souvenir Claverham Beer Festival pint glass.
No cash is taken at the bar, with beer tokens being sold within the Village Hall on the night for cash. Pocket sized lists of the beers available are available. All of the bar staff, ticket sellers, doormen and BBQ chefs are volunteers so please bear with them if needs be. Usual rules apply if you appear to be under 18 you will be asked for identification and if you can't behave appropriately or spoil others' enjoyment you will have to leave. No refunds can be given in either circumstance, so please enjoy yourselves considerately. The beer, ciders and wines are within the skittle alley at the Claverham Village Hall, with the main hall and outside areas providing space for enjoying your beer. A small marquee, gazebos and tables and chairs are available in the outside areas. On the food front, a barbecue provides the all important solid sustenance of reasonably priced burgers and sausage baps. Saturday and Sunday afternoon sessions (between 12.30pm and 7pm Saturday, and 12.30pm to 5pm Sunday) are open to all without the need for tickets. Musical entertainment is provided during all sessions, with particular emphasis on local artists on Sunday afternoon, in addition to the entirely unique World Spoof Championship. If you fancy your chances and would like the opportunity to be crowned World Champion, why not turn up and give it a go. World Cup note - the footie will be shown in the Claverham Village Hall bar if you want to watch that and England make it through. You can enjoy both the World Cup and the Beer Festival at the same time. Clever stuff. |
